Terms and Conditions – Rumored Eventing
1. General
By participating in lessons, clinics, horse sales, coaching, or other services offered by Rumored Eventing (“the Program”), clients (“the Rider”) agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to provide clarity, ensure safety, and create a professional training environment.
2. Assumption of Risk
All riders acknowledge that horseback riding, training, handling, and related equestrian activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to serious injury or death.
Rumored Eventing, its trainers, staff, and property owners are not liable for accidents, injuries, or damages to persons, horses, or property.
Riders and horse owners participate at their own risk and are encouraged to maintain personal health and equine insurance.
3. Rider & Horse Responsibility
Riders must wear ASTM/SEI approved helmets and proper riding footwear at all times.
Riders are responsible for the fitness, health, and behavior of their horses when participating in lessons, clinics, or sales activities.
Horses must be up to date on vaccinations and negative Coggins. Proof of veterinary care may be requested before participation.
4. Payments
Private Lessons: 45 minutes – $75, due at or before time of service.
Coaching at Shows: Starting at $100, depending on location and schedule.
Clinics: Half-day or full-day pricing available upon request. Deposits required to secure a date.
Horse Sales: Contact for pricing, contracts, and options.
Late or unpaid balances may result in suspension of services until resolved.
5. Cancellation Policy
Lessons: Must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made within 24 hours will be charged the full lesson amount. Exceptions may be made in cases of emergency at the trainer’s discretion.
Clinics: Require a non-refundable deposit. Cancellations within 7 days of the clinic forfeit all fees paid.
Show Coaching: Must be cancelled at least 48 hours in advance to receive a refund.
Weather-related cancellations will be rescheduled at the trainer’s discretion.
6. Horse Sales
Horses sold through Rumored Eventing are represented honestly to the best of the trainer’s knowledge.
Pre-purchase veterinary exams are encouraged and are the responsibility of the buyer.
No guarantees are expressed or implied beyond what is stated in the bill of sale.
7. Liability Release
By engaging in services, the Rider agrees to release, waive, and discharge Rumored Eventing, its trainers, staff, and property owners from any and all claims, demands, or damages resulting from participation.
8. Code of Conduct
Riders and horse owners are expected to treat horses, trainers, staff, and fellow riders with respect at all times.
Mistreatment, neglect, or abuse of horses will not be tolerated and may result in termination of services without refund.
Rumored Eventing reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services if unsafe, disrespectful, or inappropriate behavior is observed.
9. Amendments
Rumored Eventing reserves the right to update or amend these terms and conditions at any time. Riders will be notified of changes, and continued participation constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
